Stop Caring What People Think! | How to Live Free

You will never be truly free in this life if you make decisions based on what other people will think about them.

It's a simple truth but one that most people never fully take to heart. Most of us would admit that it's true, but how many of us actually live our lives in a manner that shows that we've taken that truth to heart?

The reason why it's so hard to stop caring about what people think is because since birth other people's opinions have helped to shape who we are. Think about it: how else would we know how to act in society, what was acceptable and what wasn't, if we didn't take input from everyone around us?

So caring about what others think about us isn't totally a bad thing when we are children and still learning the basics of how the world works.

Problems start to arise, however, when we become adults and we continue to look to the world around us for guidance on how to live our lives.

Because the world around us can be wrong! We've all heard of the 'herd mentality'. Whole groups of people can be influenced to behave in ways that are actually harmful to them. It happens everyday. And it will happen to us if we just blindly go along with the crowd.

People will always judge you and try to get you to fall in line with their beliefs, ideas, and way of life. And if we are concerned about how others view us we will find ourselves adopting their ideas just to fit in.

But if you are serious about living free in this world then you have to think for yourself! You have to make decisions and behave in a way that reflects your ideals, principles, and way of life.. The only way to be truly free is by being yourself!

The good thing about not caring what others think is that it gets easier with practice. The more you go against the grain and do what you want, the easier it becomes. No one wants to be the butt of others jokes or be looked down on by peers. But eventually you stop caring what they think. You start enjoying the freedom so much you can't hear the jeers!

It's not an easy task, but it's a necessary one. You were put here to live YOUR life. And the only way to do that is to stop living everyone else's.

Destroy That Debt! | How to Live Free

The #1 stumbling block to freedom for most people is a four letter word that I truly hate: DEBT!

The reason I dislike debt so much is because it's the byproduct of a rigged system. If the world was fair and people decided to get into debt then I wouldn't be so mad. But we live in a society that programs us from birth to be debtors.

We think it's the 'right thing to do'. You've heard people say things like: "everybody has debt", "you can't get ahead without some debt", and "there's good debt and bad debt". All of these are lies in my opinion!

It has never been easier in human history to fall into the debt trap. And it's never been harder to get out of it.

If you are serious about living free and being in control of your time, energy, and wealth, then you have to destroy all your debt. Or at the very least all the unnecessary debt that you have accumulated. There are some debts that make sense for some people like a mortgage or a car note, especially if you have a family that needs a roof over their heads and dependable transportation.

We all know that most people have thousands of dollars of debt that the racked up simply because the didn't want to wait until they had the money to buy things. This is the type of behavior that keeps people enslaved to a job for their whole life.

'If you don't have the money for it, don't buy it' is a great motto to live by in life.

Once you get your overspending habits under control, the next step is to start paying off the debts you previously accrued.

This step takes a lot of time, discipline, and patience. But it can be one of the most rewarding things you do in your life! To go from being burdened by month debt payments, and being hounded by bill collectors, to being debt free and keeping most of your money each month is an indescribable feeling!

It won't be easy, but it's worth it. And there are countless people, couples, and families online that have done it already and are sharing their stories. Check out their journey to debt free living can be a great encouragement as well as provide useful information on how you can go about destroying your debt.

You don't have to live you entire life as a debt slave. You can be in control of your financial future. It all starts with the realization that DEBT IS DUMB!.

Kill Your Bills!

If you are really serious about living free then, in my opinion, the first step you need to take is to get rid of all your unnecessary bills!

Most of us don't even realize how much of our hard earned wealth we squander each and every month on bills that really bring no real value to our lives.

Next to debt, bills are probably the #1 reason why so many of us live paycheck to paycheck. And no one ever dreamed of growing up to live like that.

The first step towards freedom from bills is pretty simple but almost no one does it. You just have to sit down and figure out how many bills you have and how much they are costing you each month.

Chances are you are pretty familiar with the big bills like the rent (or mortgage), the car note, car insurance, phone bill(s), etc. But you might be surprised about some of the small bills that really add up each month. For instance, how many streaming services are you subscribed to? How many subscription services are sending you packages in the mail each month? Do you still have cable?

Once you sit down and take an inventory of all your monthly bills, then you can begin to get rid of the ones that serve no purpose in your life. Yeah you might like the services tied to the bill, but is it really worth the monthly expense?

If you truly want to live free then you are going to have to make sacrifices! If you really want to be in control of your time, energy, and wealth in the future then you are going to stop blowing your money now and non-essentials.

The process of getting rid of bills is actually pretty painless these days. You can do most of it online. Or worst case scenario you may have to make a couple of phone calls. But in the span of a day you should be able to kill off all the bills that are taking money out of your pocket each month and not really giving you anything worthwhile in return.

With the money you save each month you can buy things you actually need, save up to pay off debt, invest in your future, or make donations to charity. All of these ideas are far better than just throwing your money at bills every 30 days!
